SUMMARY:Getting down to business: Enabling private sector leadership in the circular economy
DESCRIPTION:Circular economy (CE) is gaining momentum as a concept for fundamentally changing our resource economies and reframing consumption and production in our cities. Where CE strategies are tackling single sectors, funding is mobilised in traditional manners. However, the scope of circular economy seeks integrated and whole-value chain approaches, which require strong coordination and new, innovative business models. Further, in Africa, private sector has been leading circular economy innovation, but could gain further momentum with the right enabling environments. This session offers reflections by business founders on their CE business models and approaches, and what sub-national governments and finance institutions can do to support their growth and service offering.\nRegister now\n
